Punters are somewhat keeping their powder dry and waiting when it comes to the WA Guineas (1600m) at Ascot this Saturday, with nothing really backed with confidence at this stage.

Faviurite for the race is the last start Fairetha winner Money Maher at $4.40 and has been pretty solid after opening $4.20 on Tuesday night. He just holds the call over the brilliant filly Perfect Jewel at $5, out from $4.60. The early and noted firmer is Arcadia Prince for Team Williams and Olly. He has been $9 in from $9.50.

The other firmer at odds is the one at the top, Achernar Star for Simon Miller with Craig Williams to steer. He opened $13 and a few each way bets has seen his price trickle down to $13.
