Punters are keeping their powder relatively dry when it comes to the McKenzie Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley this Saturday with nothing really backed with confidence.

There have been firmers in the event, such as Azazel ($6-$5.50) and Lone Eagle ($6-$5.50), but nothing noteworthy to jump up and down about, with the favourite being last start Lightning winner Bandipur ($3.80-$3.70-$3.90).

Frankel My Dear really caught the eye on debut down the Flemington straight and there have been a couple of each way bets for her, into $19 from $26.

Team Hawkes have been struggling a bit for form in recent times but punters are happy to overlook that and have a bet on Overshare, who opened $8, touched $9 but has firmed down to $7.50.
