Off the back of a tough placing at Flemington, the Darren Weir trained Cliff’s Edge has been best backed to take out the Caulfield Classic (2000m) this Saturday.

The son of Canford Cliffs attempted to lead all the way in the UCI at Flemington and gave a good kick under John Allen but couldn’t hold out the finishing burst of Main Stage ($3.80 – $3.90). They think he can this time because he has been $4.00 in from $4.20.

That pair sit behind last start Spring Champion runner Tangled in betting. He is the $3.70 favourite and pretty solid after opening $3.60. Tavistock Abbey is at $5.50 off the back of a win in the Derby Trial.
