He’s the Christian Grey of Horse Racing but punters are confident that Spieth can stop teasing and like Mr Grey, deliver on the big stage when he lines up in the Gilgai Stakes (1200m) at Flemington this Saturday.

The Bryce Heys trained sprinter was solid when resuming in the Concorde behind Redzel, with the bias/tempo/injury not helping his cause at all. He’s been freshened up, draws to get clear running and finds a winnable race. He’s been $2.70 to $2.60.

The classy mare Silent Sedition, a Group l winner from the Autumn, has trialled up really well and has been supported, into $4.20 from $4.40 but is back out to her opening price.

There has been nibbles at odds for a few, including Malibu Style ($21-$18), Land Of Plenty ($13-$11) and Sold For Song ($26-$18-$19).
