Four-year-olds have won the last seven editions of the race with median of 53.5 kg.

The median SP has been 5.50 and three of the last seven favourites have won.

Trainer Darren Weir has won two of the last three editions.

Race Pace

Likely to be a strong pace with Theanswermyfriend coming across to either lead or sit outside Charmed Harmony.

Tosen Stardom will work across to sit wide with Attention, El Divino and Scales Of Justice just off pace.

Mr Sneaky will likely be back and on the rail.

Leading chances

Scales Of Justice ($3.70)

Loomed up to win the Bobbie Lewis (won by Redkirk Warrior) only to race greenly over the final furlong.

His rating was around the mark he set in Ascot wining the Group 1 Railway stakes.

The market appears to me to have overvalued the ‘unlucky’ run last start and his price looks rock bottom.

Tosen Stardom  ($6.00)

Yet to win in five Australian starts however he has had plenty of excuses in those efforts and his numbers have stacked up well.

The application of blinkers is a very positive move.

Jockey Blake Shinn will have to be at his best to get in from the wide barrier on the tight turning track.

Theanswermyfriend ($7.00)

All his best efforts have been at Flemington however his high cruising speed and on pace pattern of racing suggest he’ll be in front for a long time here.

All depends on the amount of pressure from Charmed Harmony.

Fits the profile of an up and coming four-year-old.

Mr Sneaky ($8.50)

Alongside Theanswermyfriend, he has the profile of being a capable four-year-old on the limit weight.

He’s going to get a long way back on the fence but has sound claims.

Luck in run will dictate his chances and he looks slight unders at the current quotes given where he’ll have to come from.

Charmed Harmony  ($18.00)

Whether she leads or sits off Theanswermyfriend, she will get a nice run and jockey Katelyn Mallyon is a great judge of pace.

She has very consistent figures at the track and distance which suggest she has claims, however she has generally found this grade of racing to be above her.
