Preferment hasn’t won for a little while but Sportsbet.com.au punters believe that will change in the O’Shea Stakes (2200m) this Saturday at Doomben.

The Chris Waller stayer hasn’t raced since resuming in the Hollindale at the Gold Coast where he was very good without luck behind It’s Somewhat. He dodged the Doomben and has the fresh les, something punters believe will help. He opened $4.20 and has been well backed, into $3.50.

Single Gaze opened the $2.90 favourite but has been slightly easy, out to $3, while Cylinder Beach has been friendless early, out to $3.80 after opening $3.40.

The rank outsider Garbhan has had a speck, into $34 from $41.
