With no goals in the first half of their match against the Mariners, the Roar went down early in the second half before powering to a 5-1 win. Jamie Maclaren had an eight minute hat trick that will strengthen his prospects of being traded overseas and a potential national team call-up.
The Glory are wildly inconsistent and have gone a month without a win dropping them from the top 4 all the way down to 6th. Mathematically they are not assured of a finals spot, although Wellington has a tough run home (vs Sydney FC and Brisbane).
The Glory have more to lose and at their best match up well with Brisbane. Diego Castro needs support and with Williams and Griffiths returning, Glory are a stronger team than last week.
