We take a look at tonights NRL Round 23 clash between the Penrith Panthers and the Nth Queensland Cowboys. The Panthers head in as favourites but this looks a lot closer than markets suggest hence why the Cowboys look good value. View our Penrith Panthers vs Nth Queensland Cowboys Tips.
When: 19:30 | Saturday 12/08/2017
Where: Pepper Stadium
Penrith can’t lose another game because if they do and the Dragons get a few wins, they’ll be out of the finals.
The Cowboys have a little more room to breathe but if they don’t win at least three games for the remainder of the year, they’ll be relying on teams to lose and will go straight into sudden death games.
Matt Moylan has a calming effect on the team and when he runs the ball, it takes the pressure off the likes of Nathan Cleary and allows him to assess the game and set up for the next play.
Moylan makes the opposition second guess and he seems to get a free hand to set a second phase play.
Some people thought the Storm would score more points than they did against the Cowboys last week but the Cowboys’ forwards played a strong game.
The Cowboys will be too strong up the middle in this game and I expect Michael Morgan (pictured above) to get man-of-the-match.
Penrith at $1.45
North Queensland at $2.80
Tip: North Queensland at $2.80
Line tip: North Queensland +6.5
