We take a look at tonight’s Premier League clash between Manchester City and Everton. It’s going to be hard to see Everton get any points off Manchester City at Etihad Stadium. Wayne Rooney made an impressive start hitting the back of the net in Everton’s win over Stoke last week and will look to continue his good form here.

If Guardiola wins games and trophies everyone will agree with his rotational policy.

He’s a high-class manager and he’ll do his best to make sure he can improve this season.

He got off to the right start and the same old faces popped up to do the business.

City will be happy with the start they’ve made.

I’ve got no doubt Wayne Rooney can guide the Toffees to a surprise victory over City.

He was a different class in Everton’s victory and really looked as if he was enjoying his football.

Everton are a decent outfit and with Rooney in form, anything is possible.

This is a tough game for City and they’ll need to be at their best to get the points here.

KEY BATTLE: Wayne Rooney v Sergio Aguero

Both players were on the scoresheet and both may well get on the scoresheet again.

Rooney most likely from a dead ball but Aguero should benefit from the domination City should have in this game.

The weight of possession and opportunities created and taken by City will get them home in this one.

The Verdict

City will win a hard-fought game.

Everton will keep them honest and I think both teams can get on the scoresheet.

I just feel that City have more goals in them than Everton for this game.
