Prized Icon is the class runner of the Inglis Guineas (1400m) at Scone on Saturday and despite being short of his best distance, punters think that class will get him home.

The James Cummings trained galloper hasn’t raced since finishing seventh in the ATC Derby. 2400m back to 1400m is a tough ask but some don’t see it as an issue. He opened $4.40 and has been crunched, into $3.50.

Calanda is the next best in betting at $4.20 and is solid there after opening that price and easing to $4.40. Victorian raider Mr Sneaky has had admirers into $5.50 from $6.

Spright, who does seem a risk at 1400m, is $7 to $7.50.
