High Mode might be taking on the older horses in the Andrew Ramsden Stakes (3200m) this Saturday at Flemington, but that hasn’t stopped punters from launching into the three year old.

The son of Redwood comes the St Leger (2800m) on Anzac Day where he got a mile back in the run and closed off with purpose. He looks as if he will eat up the two miles and the punters agree. He opened $15 and has been crunched, now into $10. The other runner met with support at odds is Araldo Junior. He opened $21 and touched $16 but is now sitting at $17.

Favourite for the race is De Little Engine at $2.40 and is rock solid there after opening $2.30. The only other runners at single figures are Lucques and Refectory, both eased half a point from their opening quotes of $6.50 respectively.
