SELECTIONS: 5 JAWWAAL; 6 Setsuna; 4 Bionics; 11 Trilli.

BEST ROUGHIE: 10 SEABROOK.

SUGGESTED BET: Box Quinella/Trifecta: 4 – 5 – 6 – 10 – 11.

LOTS of guess work here. JAWWAAL is making debut for Team Hayes, well-bred Snitzel colt in top barn, sure to have stack of ability. SETSUNA was fabulous on debut worked hard on-pace when 2nd Satin Slipper, Randwick, Listed Gimcrack Stakes. Hard to beat. BIONICS is bred to be a speed runner, in top juvenile stable, watch very closely. TRILLI was an impressive trial winner. Wide gate an issue.

RACE 2.

$120,000 BENDIGO BANK HANDICAP. 955-metres.

SELECTIONS: 3 SIRBIBLE; 2 Badajoz; 7 Thelburg; 4 Rock ‘N’ Gold.

BEST ROUGHIE: 9 DANUKI.

SUGGESTED BET: SIRBIBLE each-way.

SIRBIBLE is a flier first-up, loves this track, from 5 first-up runs 3 wins two seconds. Will settle close to the lead, hard to beat with any luck at all. BADAJOZ is in hot form, won well Rosehill first-up then runaway winner Caulfield last time. Will be very strong late. THELBURG is resuming, better over further but will sprint well fresh here. Strong late. ROCK ‘N’ GOLD is in good form, impressive winning Cranbourne last time.

RACE 3.

SELECTIONS: 1 SINGLE BULLET; 2 Ducimus; 4 Trekking; 8 Experimentation.

BEST ROUGHIE: 6 ÉCLAIR SUNSHINE.

SUGGESTED BET: SINGLE BULLET each-way.

SINGLE BULLET is a high-class filly from Sydney, resumed with 2nd Listed Heritage before 2nd G2 Roman Consul. Fitter, hard to beat. DUCIMUS first-up, has hot form, 4th in G3 Vain Stakes, Jukebox last run. That’s very strong form. TREKKING Godolphin runner, 3rd in the Rosebud before 4th G3 McNeil, Caulfield, Merchant Navy. Another with claims. EXPERIMENTATION is lightly raced but very fast. Respect and watch betting moves.

RACE 4.

SELECTIONS: 8 DEMERARA; 1 Limestone; 7 Sanadaat; 3 Roomooz.

BEST ROUGHIE: 6 BLONDIE.

SUGGESTED BET: DEMERARA to win.

DEMERARA is down from Sydney, unbeaten 3 from 3, last start very brave drew away impressive winning at Rosehill. The one to beat. LIMESTONE very smart when right, fell at Flemington, bounced back close 5th G2 Tranquil Star. Suited here, drop in grade, go well. SANADAAT fitter now after three runs back, OK last time, this track might be the key, run well. ROOMOOZ also goes well here, will be strong late.

RACE 5.

GROUP 3 $150,000 POWERFLO SOLUTIONS STAKES. 1600-metres.

SELECTIONS: 6 OREGON’S DAY; 5 Invincibella; 3 Lubiton; 1 French Emotion.

BEST ROUGHIE: 1 FRENCH EMOTION.

SUGGESTED BET: OREGON’S DAY to win.

OREGON’S DAY has been racing well without luck, had no luck when close 5th Fast ‘N’ Rocking, Listed Weekend Hussler Caulfield last time. Hard to beat. INVINCIBELLA is in hot form in Sydney winning both runs back from a break, latest was very strong late. The danger. LUBITON has won 4 second 4 times from 16 runs, smart mare, good 2nd Invincibella last time, now meets her better at the weights. Chance.

RACE 6.

GROUP 2 $300,000 MOONEE VALLEY GOLD CUP. 2500-metres.

SELECTIONS: 1 BIG DUKE; 3 Auvray; 2 Libran; 5 Who Shot Thebarman.

BEST ROUGHIE: 4 COOL CHAP.

SUGGESTED BET: BIG DUKE to win.

BIG DUKE has the best form, followed very strong 2nd G1 The Metropolitan with dashing win in the St Leger last start beating Auvray. AUVRAY is enjoying his best prep, won G3 Colin Stephen before 2nd in the St Leger to Big Duke. The danger again. LIBRAN ran 6th in the G1 Metropolitan before 5th in the St Leger last time. Stays well, respect. WHO SHOT THEBARMAN is a veteran these days but still very competitive. Always a chance.

RACE 7.

GROUP 2 $200,000 italktravel FILLIES CLASSIC. 1600-metres.

SUGGESTED BET: Box Quinella/Trifecta: 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 7.

MINTHA ran 2nd in G3 Champagne, MV, before 5th G1 Thousand Guineas, Aloisia. Chance here back in grade. SPEEDWAY is a Godolphin runner, came from last two runs back when charged away most impressive win restricted grade, before ran on 5th Pinot. Back in trip, go well. BANISH another Godolphin runner, did a good job when 3rd Caulfield before charged late strong win Cranbourne in good race. Chance. GLAM GURU has good SA form.

SELECTIONS: 1 IT’S SOMEWHAT; 8 Sound Proposition; 2 Lucky Hussler; 4 Religify.

SUGGESTED BET: IT’S SOMEWHAT each-way.

GREAT race, all runners competitive, IT’S SOMEWHAT class Godolphin runner, Doncaster Mile winner earlier this year, resumed 10th G1 Santa Ana Lane, G1 Rupert Clarke, Caulfield. Fitter, right trip now. SOUND PROPOSITION good galloper, 2nd in the G3 Cameron first-up then 5th in G1 Epsom was solid again. Fitter, run well. LUCKY HUSSLER goes well here, ran on hard last time. Needs this trip now. Chance. RELIGIFY just run down last time. Chance also.

RACE 9.

GROUP 1 $3 million W. S. COX PLATE. 2040-metres.

SELECTIONS: 8 WINX; 9 Royal Symphony; 5 Folkswood; 3 Humidor.

BEST ROUGHIE: 2 GAILO CHOP.

SUGGESTED BET: Anchor WINX in everything.

WINX is a champion, going for 22nd consecutive win here and her third Cox Plate. Will win easily barring something going very wrong. ROYAL SYMPHONY exciting 3YO, gets big weight advantage, should have won G1 Caulfield Guineas last start, held-up crucial stage. Can run second here. FOLKSWOOD Godolphin runner, only Australian start was dominant in Cranbourne Cup. Can be placed. HUMIDOR top class, huge run 5th Caulfield Cup last week.

RACE 10.

GROUP 2 $200,000 DRUMMOND GOLF VASE. 2040-metres.

SELECTIONS: 9 ALOISIA; 1 Cliff’s Edge; 5 Vin De Dance; 2 Sanctioned.

BEST ROUGHIE: 7 THE SLEDGEHAMMER.

SUGGESTED BET: ALOISIA to win. Quinella: 1 – 9.

ALOISIA keeps raising the bar, 2nd in G1 J. J. Atkins as a 2YO, last start very strong to win G1 Thousand Guineas. Now out to this trip, tough to beat with weight advantage. CLIFF’S EDGE backs-up from last week when led throughout at Caulfield and won impressively. Hard to stop in this form. VIN DE DANCE former Kiwi, first Australian start was very good 3rd Temple Of Bel, Caulfield. Must be respected. SANCTIONED had very good Sydney form before G1 Caulfield Guineas outing. Worth another chance.
