With a forecast of blue skies, temperatures in the high twenties and top notch thoroughbred racing, the scene is set for day two of the BMW Caulfield Cup Carnival – Catanach’s Jewellers Blue Sapphire Stakes Day.

The impressive eight-card race program features some of Australia’s best three-year-old sprinters in the $350,500 Group 3 Catanach’s Jewellers Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200m) including Jukebox. Meanwhile, the Group 3 $150,000 Nick Johnstone Real Estate Ladies Day Vase (1600m) has attracted quality gallopers from all over Australia including the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Prompt Response.

Off the track the glamourous Moët & Chandon Marquee in the Heath Enclosure is set to sizzle with an all-inclusive gourmet grazing menu prepared by Melbourne Racing Club’s Executive Chef Julian Robertshaw to compliment chilled Moët & Chandon champagne all afternoon.

Next door, the West Hollywood-inspired E.P. & L.P. Deck will be working overtime to keep racegoers hydrated and the energy pumping with signature cocktails and DJ Clintonia and Jono Haze spinning beats between races.

The annual Might and Power Sporting Luncheon presented by Ladbrokes sees sports experts including Hamish McLaughlin, Connors Sports Agency’s Paul Connor and star racehorse trainer Mick Price in attendance to talk all things sports and racing.

The Priceline Beauty Pavilion will be the ideal destination for racegoers to take a few moments to maintain their raceday look with complimentary expert beauty touch ups to keep guests looking and feeling fresh. The Carlton Draught Front Bar will be the next stop for parched punters serving the coolest, brewery fresh tank beer to compliment a host of epicurean eats.
