Star jockey Damien Oliver will attempt to become the equal most successful jockey in Caulfield Cup history after booking a ride on one of the well tried Cup runners.
It’s been reported that the veteran jockey has been booked to ride European import Ventura Storm in the $3m Caulfield Cup.
Oliver replaces up and coming jockey Regan Bayliss who has ridden Ventura Storm throughout his current preparation.
Oliver will be out to equal the record of late jockey Arthur “Scobie” Breasley who rode 5 Caulfield Cup winners.
Despite Oliver’s success in the race, he hasn’t ridden a Caulfield Cup winner since Sky Heights in 1999.
Ventura Storm is currently on the fourth line of betting at $10.
