We take a look at Thursday nights NRL match between Canterbury and North Queensland with the game to start at 7.50pm (AEDT) atANZ Stadium.

When: 20:00 | Thursday 11/05/2017

Where: Suncorp Stadium

Watch: Channel Nine and Fox League – Live coverage from 7.50pm

Injured five-eighth Josh Reynolds is the kind of player that brings energy to the team and that will be massively missed.

The team and fans are upset he’s moving on to the Tigers but he has a great replacement while he is recovering in Frawley.

Jonathan Thurston will miss a few games for the Cowboys in the coming weeks but I think he’ll be back by Origin 1.

Michael Morgan will take reasonability again while Thurston is out and they have Ray Thompson back this week.

In a couple of years Morgan will be the man in charge of this team, so this gives him the opportunity to show the squad he can meet that challenge.

This is going to be a low-scoring game and the Cowboys will try and grind out a win from the Bulldogs.

The Verdict

Bulldogs will be far too strong for the Cowboys, it’s just going to be too hard for the Cowboys without Thurston.

Odds:

Canterbury at $1.60

North Queensland at $2.40

Tip: Canterbury Bulldogs at $1.60

Value Tip: First Try Scorer: Kerrod Holland at $11.00
