We take a look at the Sunday afternoon NRL Round 24 clash between the Canberra Raiders and the Penrith Panthers. This is a game that the Raiders can’t afford to lose if they want to play finals footy. Canberra and they get a good chance at home to take it to one of the sides who are at risk of dropping out.

This is going to be a tight game and when I say that, I mean close.

They both could come out and score 30 each or 12 but it will be very close when the siren goes.

Both teams are desperate to play finals football and if the Raiders lose, their season is gone.

This will be a great battle in the forwards as the Raiders have a top three forward pack and the Panthers have been building at the latter part of the season.

This is where the game will be won or lost.

Josh Mansour will be one of the best players on the comp.

He hasn’t reached his level of last year due to injury but I expect big things from him moving forward.

The Verdict

The Raiders will leave the stadium with nothing left in the tank and for that reason I’m backing them this week.

I wish that Fox Sports would have a button just to watch Ricky Stuart in this game.
