James Tedesco won’t be adding a Dally M Medal to his Players’ Champion Award according to the market with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.

The outgoing Wests Tigers fullback is rated a $101 chance despite being crowned the best player in the competition by his peers.

Cameron Smith appears to have a mortgage on the Dally M Medal as the $1.07 favourite, with Gareth Widdop his nearest challenger at $10.

Daly Cherry-Evans ($12) and Mitchell Pearce ($13) aren’t far behind.

“There’s ten times more money placed on Cam Smith than any other player, and 60% of the total investment is on the Storm skipper,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Christian Jantzen.
