Where: Suncorp Stadium

Broncos will struggle physically and more importantly, mentally, during the Origin period.

Fans are lucky they can watch the game, have a few beers and go to bed.

The players have to go through recovery that night and the next morning and then go back in to their NRL team and back up.

Mentally, this really takes a lot of the players and can make your timing off, let little things get to you and not be at your best.

This is not new for the Broncos and they always seem to be in the mix at finals time. They have good depth that will push the rest of the NRL teams during this time.

The hero role usually falls back to Anthony Milford but they have a star-studded team and if they complete their sets in the first half, it will be hard for the Rabbitohs to get a win.

Souths are coming off the bye and should be well rested.

I spoke to a few of the players and they went travelling overseas and got away from football.

You need to get your head away from the game to reset and enjoy training and playing.

Souths need to get the forwards moving early if they’re any chance.

The Verdict

Souths are just up and down all season, but if they turn up it might be a closer game then we expect.
