Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester City | Sunday, August 13, 2.30am (AEST), Amex Stadium, Falmer
Brighton & Hove Albion fans will be hoping the Seagulls will be flying high but it’s an enormous ask this season.
They have been consistent performers over the last two seasons and now is their time to see if they can raise the bar again.
They’ll need to if they want to be playing in the EPL year in, year out.
Kyle Walker has become the league’s highest paid defender and he’s a good player that has shown at Tottenham he has some quality.
The fee unfortunately adds pressure but if he can stand up early and show he can cope then he should have a good season.
The players just go about their business and let the agents or clubs put the prices on heads.
He’s playing in a football team who will always look to play but they do need to be stronger defensively and hopefully he can add to that.
Decent free-flowing game here with both teams getting on the scoresheet.
City could set an early warning shot here to the rest of the EPL with a convincing away win.
