Gatting is the best up and coming stayer WA has to offer and he is expected by punters to continue his dominance of the staying trips by winning the Belmont Classic (2200m) this Saturday.

The high class gelding is on the back up after racing last Saturday against the older horses and looked in control for the most, recording a win over the low flying mare Rosewood Hill. He is the $1.85 top elect to win this weekend, and been solid after opening $1.75.

Jackpot Prince has stayer written all over him and has been backed to win, into $6 from $6.50. Belmont Oaks winner Fontainebleau has been solid also, opening $7 and staying there after drifting to $7.50.

Western Temple for the Williams/Pike/Peters combo is very solid also. He opened $6.50 and is now at $6.
