Adcock, 27, will join heavily decorated champion Jonathan Brown as a captain for the season after Voss decided to return to a shared skippers system.
Brisbane had joint captains in 2007-08 when Brown and other multiple premiership heroes Chris Johnson, Nigel Lappin, Simon Black and Luke Power shared the job.
Brown, 31, has declared he could decide to play through into 2014, but the triple premiership powerhouse forward is clearly in twilight stages of his accomplished 230-game career that started back in 2000.
Adcock has played 141 senior Lions games since his debut back in 2004 and won his elevation to share captaincy with the brilliant Brown ahead of young guns Daniel Rich and Tom Rockliff.
In a distinct pointer to Brisbane's future on-field leaders Rich and Rockliff, who are both just 22, will share the Lions vice-captaincy.
Adcock was vice-captain to Brown last season.
He signed a new three-year contract late last year to lick the gutsy all-rounder into the Lions finals ambitions until the end of 2015.
