ADELAIDE Crows officials have moved swiftly to allay fears defender Andy Otten had re-injured his knee at training on Tuesday.

Otten, 22, grabbed for his reconstructed left knee during a drill, with Crows officials immediately fearing the worst for the hard-working stopper.

But the club revealed Otten would miss just three weeks at most after scans showed he had not done any major damage.

“Scans today have revealed only a minor medial strain,” the club said on afc.com.au.

“He is expected to return to full training in two to three weeks.”

The reliable defender made his return from a serious knee injury in Round 1 last year against Hawthorn and went on to play 15 games in 2011.

Otten has played 41 games for the Crows and finished runner-up in the 2009 Rising Star award behind Brisbane midfielder Daniel Rich.

He missed the entire 2010 campaign after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament during pre-season training.
