Saturday’s meeting at Randwick will play host to a number of feature racing including the Group 3 Angst Stakes (1600m). We take a look at the key runners and provide our tips and value bets.

The mares do battle here with several runners, including winner Daysee Doom and runner-up Dixie Blossoms, lining-up after clashing in the Golden Pendant (1400m) at Rosehill last start

Daysee Doom ($4.60): trainers would love a stable full of mares like this. Super consistent and was as brave as they come last start when she sat three deep, facing the breeze and still won the Group 2 Golden Pendant. She tackles the tough Randwick mile for the first time and will get no favours from her outside barrier (13).

Dixie Blossoms ($4.40): Stablemate of Daysee Doom and took ground of her last start, coming from well back in the field. A winner this track and distance.

Imposing Lass ($10): Took on the boys last start and far from disgraced when she was run down by a smart one in Washington Street, in the Group 2 Shannon Stakes. On speed runner, winner at 1800m and nicely placed here back against her own sex.

Dawn Wall ($7.00): Started favourite in the Shannon Stakes, but did not really get into the race, when fifth to Washington Heights. Third-up, Chris Waller, good gate, so can improve.

Zenalicious ($12): Was big odds and ran a creditable race behind Daysee Doom in the Golden Pendant. She was last of 11 at the 400m and made good ground late to be two lengths away in fifth. Can be closer this time from the better gate (2).

My True Love ($10): She was Group 2 placed in Brisbane before resuming for third to Invincibella in Benchmark 83 at Rosehill. Placed at the trip and Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott trained mare so capable of improvement.
