We take a look at tonight’s Qualifying Final between the Adelaide Crows and Greater Western Sydney Giants to be played at Adelaide Oval with a 7:50PM start time. The Crows will be without key player Rory Sloane whilst the Giants look full strength. Both teams form was not that great at the end of the season so this looks a thrilling match with the loser having a tough time to the Grand Final.

Game 1 is on Thursday and Adelaide get the chance to continue on their merry way as flat track bullies by beating up on the Giants.

But I sense an upset here folks.

The Giants have got nothing to lose and nobody thinks they can win. Except them and me.

Player v player, they match-up really well and if they can keep Tex Walker and Eddie Betts quiet, then the Crows might just struggle for points.

Adelaide were poor against the Eagles and don’t give me that taking it easy, nothing to prove garbage.

They wanted to win, they should’ve won because they are supposedly the best team in the comp, but they never looked like it.

One thing for sure, if the Crows play anywhere near like they did against the Eagles, GWS will spank them.

The issue is many don’t think Adelaide, who were the benchmark all year, will play that bad again and that’s why they’re 1.50 and the Giants are 2.65. That’s silly odds.

The Giants were evens to win the minor premiership five weeks ago, so they’re not that bad.

I think the start is a great betting option and the Giants to win outright is also a good option because in my humble opinion, they’ve got the prices wrong.

The Verdict

I can’t wait to see how Josh Kelly goes in this elite period, along with Dylan Shiel (pictured above), Stephen Coniglio and co. go after last year.

I’m on the Orange bandwagon.

Jonathon Patton and Jeremy Cameron to bag a few each and the Giants to get over the line.

Unibet Odds:

Adelaide at $1.50

GWS at $2.65

Tip: GWS at $2.65

Line tip: GWS +13.5
