Counterattack has been an absolute menace to punters, but there are some brave souls with Sportsbet.com.au backing him to win the Doomben 10,000 (1200m) this Saturday at Doomben.

The Chris Waller trained galloper hasn’t done much in three runs back from a break but he has run well previously during the Brisbane Carnival and draws a lovely gate. He opened $15, touched $16 and has been backed into $13.

Favourite for the race is the three year old Russian Revolution. He opened $3 off the back of an impressive trial effort but has been eased slightly to $3.20.

The other runner met with support is the Hayes/Dabernig three year old Derryn, who has been $13 in from $15 after his Arrowfield Sprint triumph.
